“Touch the Sky with Glory”

When I first joined the Indian Air Force, its motto—“Touch the Sky with Glory”—was not just a line, but an aspiration. Today, after a fulfilling 30-year journey in uniform, I can say with pride that I have truly lived that ethos.

I am Group Captain Rajneesh Gandhi (Retd), a helicopter pilot by profession and passion. My flying career has taken me across the most challenging and diverse terrains—from the vast seas to the highest summits. I have operated in extreme environments within India and abroad, including Bhutan and parts of Africa. From landing at some of the world’s highest helipads in Siachen, to operating on offshore rigs, and executing over-water landings with float-equipped helicopters—each mission has been a lesson, a challenge, and an achievement.

Retirement from the Air Force marked not an end, but a new beginning. Aviation continues to inspire me, and I remain committed to it. I extend my sincere gratitude to Mr. Prabhu Agarwal, the Founder of ‘DREAMVATORS’, for providing me the opportunity to mentor and shape the next generation of pilots. Through sharing my knowledge and real-life experiences, I strive to bridge critical gaps and prepare young aviators to respond with confidence, competence, and clarity when it matters most.
