How it all worked out: My aviation journey

My journey into aviation started right after I finished high school. I began preparing for the DGCA exams. I managed to clear most of the subjects fairly quickly, but one subject kept holding me back which was Navigation.
I missed passing the exam by just one mark. I scored 69, then 68, and this happened twice. It was frustrating to come so close and still fall short. Eventually, I realized that I had been trying to memorize everything instead of truly understanding it. I changed the way I studied and focused on understanding the concepts rather than just remembering formulas. After several attempts and patience, I finally cleared the Navigation exam.
After that, I applied for the Qatar Airways Cadet Pilot Program and was invited to Doha for the interview. It was an exciting opportunity, but unfortunately I was not selected. While it was disappointing at the time, it pushed me to explore other paths.
That path eventually brought me to Florida, where I began my flight training in Miami. Starting my training there felt incredible, but I quickly learned that flying isn’t as easy as it looks. As a beginner, I struggled the most with landing the aircraft, which felt like the hardest part of flying for me.
With practice and guidance, things started improving, and eventually I reached one of the most unforgettable milestones in aviation my first solo flight. Taking off and landing alone for the first time was an amazing feeling and a moment I will never forget.
After that, I continued progressing through my training and successfully completed my checkrides, eventually earning my Commercial Pilot License. I then decided to become a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) because teaching others not only builds experience but also helps you become a better pilot.
Today, I hold my Commercial Pilot License and CFI, and I am currently working toward my CFII. Soon, I will begin working as a flight instructor and helping other aspiring pilots start their own journeys.
Looking back, my path into aviation has not always been easy. There were setbacks, frustrations, and moments of doubt. But every challenge taught me something valuable.
If there is one thing aviation has taught me, it is this: the journey may not always be smooth, but persistence will always move you closer to the sky. ✈️
